Notcross eats well for a city its size, which was not always true. Reservations are recommended on concert Saturdays; everything else is walk-in.
Coming SoonOyster Bar & Champagne
An intimate raw bar in the former chiropractic storefront: eight to twelve oysters nightly, grower Champagne, caviar and chilled shellfish. Opens at four, so the coffee shop next door keeps the mornings.
Tea & Coffee
Premium coffee, teas from around the world, pastries and light fare in the restored 1921 Woman's Club, with a garden patio facing the park. Traditional tea service in the parlour.
Supper Club & Jazz
The 1870 Brunswick Hotel, rebuilt on its original site as a restaurant and jazz club. Live music six nights a week; the porches are open whether or not you are dining.

Southern American
Wood-fired plates and a long bar in a restored 1908 hardware building. Patio seating faces the plaza.

Single-origin pour-overs, laminated pastries and the most reliable wifi downtown.
Mexican
Handmade tortillas, a short menu and a salsa flight that changes with what the market has.
New American
A small dining room with a set menu and a wine list built almost entirely from producers nobody has heard of.

Counter service, all day breakfast and a pie case. Cash and cards, no substitutions on the platter.
Wood-Fired
The anchor restaurant of the completed South End development, facing the new public plaza.
Wine Bar & Tasting Room
A wine bar and tasting room in the 1908 house at the top of Thrasher Park. Twenty-six seats on the porch, all of them facing the park.
Eats & Drinks
Terrace dining the length of the alley, under the string lights and a three-storey mural. Eats, drinks and good company, which is also what the sign says.
Craft Beer
Fifteen taps, a beer garden under string lights, and a food truck most nights.
Wine & Small Plates
Announced in March, permitted in nine days, opening in October as part of the Skin Alley activation.
Restaurants that operated downtown and have since closed. The City maintains this list because the reasons are, in several cases, instructive.
Seafood
Operated on Skin Alley for six years and closed in 2023, citing a build-out permit that had been in review since 2021. The space reopened in 2026 under new ownership.
